Dreams in Life

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” ~ C. S. Lewis

Why dreams are important in life?

Dreams inspire us to be what we want to be. Every one of us is unique here. We all want to fly high. Who want to see his life as an average? After all, there is no use of living a life that does not go anywhere.

We all dream. Some of us follow them with enthusiasm and achieve their dreams. Some keep waiting things to happen themselves and some simply do not know the next step. Let us first talk about first step, Dreams.

Are your dreams realistic?

What do you want to be in life? If you just say I want to be successful, this is not the realistic answer. Success is a result not a dream. Be realistic. How you measure your success? Do you want to be successful author, singer, actor, musician, engineer or entrepreneur? Precision is important.

Now some says I want to be happy in life. And let me remind you that “Happiness is journey not a destination”. There will be happiness all the way while you are following your dream passionately.

How to follow your dream?

Do you think that wishing for something is just enough to achieve it? No. Of Course I believe in “The law of attraction” but we should be ready to pay the price to achieve our dreams as well. You should know about your dreams very well and then follow the steps. Study everything related to your dreams. Get to know someone who already achieved such kind of dreams. Use your time well. Every single minute that is available, work on it.

How to get closer to your dreams?

Dream should be big enough to inspire you all your life and small enough to courage you to go ahead. Sometimes our dream seems so big that we stuck in the first step. Do you found yourself at the same place where you were last year? It is important to break your dream into the goals. So divide them into the steps that you know you can achieve them within certain time. Otherwise they are merely a wish and you cannot go ahead.

Why dreams die?

Today most of us living someone else’s dream. They are doing a job that their parents want. Or they are working just because they are earning well to pay their bills. Some are doing family business because they have to take responsibility for it. But as life passes a thought comes into their mind that is it worth living this way.

When people think about the dreams they have in past, they feel regret because they are not doing something about it. They are watching their dreams dying.

Dreams and you

Imagine yourself when you are lying in a hospital bed after years and thinking about your life. At that time, do you imagine regretting the things that you should do now? Then do it now. Live your dream life now. Don’t take help of excuses about family responsibility or anything. You don’t have to set everything aside to start working on your dreams. You can start from little. You can start from half hour every day. And when things will proceed you know answer of all of your questions.

“One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it’s worth watching.” ~ Unknown
